The Big Bottle party during the course of the Wine maker´s Gala on the 7th December 2015 was the first highlight of the current winter season. Four top wine maker´s from Austria and Croatia, and a charming representative from the house of Lallier Champagne brought wines of a very high calibre to the Schmelzhof. An exquisite San Daniele Prosciutto finely sliced on an original Berkel slicing machine from 1933 was served to accompany the wines as wine specialist Hermann Döllerer from the wine trading house of the same name lead proceedings throughout the evening.
These five treasures were available to taste:

– Davis Weszeli, 2012 Riesling Steinmassl DAC Reserve 3,0 Liter
– Uwe Schiefer, Blaufränkisch Szapary 3,0 Liter
– Lallier Champagne, Grand Reserve Grand Cru 1,50l
– Roxanich, 2007 Super Istrian 3,0 Liter
– Lichtenberger Gonzalez, 2012 Leithaberg Rot 3,0 Liter

For good measure, Mladen Roxanich introduced his „Orange wine“, which is present in numerous 3 star restaurants throughout Europe. The Wine maker´s were also available to answer any questions following the Big Bottle party. It was a highly interesting and exciting event where the guests honoured the protagonists of the evening with rapturous applause.
