Only the best is good enough.

From homemade apricot jam using fruit from Austria’s Wachau region, to fresh milk and yoghurt, to warm, crusty rolls from the village baker – even at breakfast, we offer our guests only the best and the quality of our products takes top priority -a fact which our guests appreciate.

In the evening our guests have the choice of three multiple-course menus, with fish, meat or vegetarian dishes. Our head chef and his team combine their skills and innovative ideas to create mouth-watering culinary delights. The ingredients, including herbs grown in Gitti’s own permaculture raised bed, are all hand-selected. At the Schmelzhof we leave nothing to chance.

A delicious breakfast

With loving attention to detail, we take care of the breakfast. You’ll be amazed! It has everything your heart (and stomach) could ever wish for – from freshly baked local bread specialities to freshly cut fruit. And scrambled eggs don’t come any better than here – you’ll see! A good breakfast offers the best start to an enjoyable, eventful day in Lech, whether you’re planning a day of Alpine skiing, cross-country skiing or winter hiking.

Replenish your energy levels
after a day in the snow with
our afternoon skiers’ snack

After a fantastic day’s skiing on the slopes or cross-country tracks, or following a long winter hike, what could be better than our abundant skiers’ snack buffet? Served each day between 3 and 4.30 pm it comprises local ‘speck’, cheese and all the trimmings. A warm dish is also available – either goulash soup, cheese ‘spätzle’, ‘weisswurst’ sausages with pretzels or Kaiserschmarrn. And for those with a sweet tooth, there’s always strudel or cake. Savour your afternoon snack in front of the open fire in the foyer, in the restaurant or on our sun-drenched terrace. With the hunger bangs kept at bay until dinner time, you can relax and reflect on the highlights of your day.

Entrez, Mesdames et Messieurs!
Enjoy an exquisite six-course dinner!

Each evening from 7.30 pm, we indulge your palate with a delectable six-course menu. To start with, you can select from a wide array of fresh salads and antipasti from the buffet. Try whatever tempts your fancy! Afterwards, choose between a hearty soup or a mouth-watering starter … or both, if you want. Three main courses are available. With fish, meat or vegetarian options, you’ll be spoilt for choice. Cheese is a wonderful way to round off a meal and our cheese board offers an exquisite selection. But dinner wouldn’t be complete without a sweet ending – so go on and treat yourself to tempting ice-cream creation or a tantalising dessert.
And some more good news: our restaurant is open for you on Tuesday evenings now too! Enjoy a cosy, convivial dinner of raclette, cheese fondue or one of our sumptuous pasta dishes.

Finest wines from magnum bottles

The Schmelzhof is renowned for its magnums. Our cellar is home to a wide selection of fine wines in magnum bottles. Why? Because wine matures better in larger-volume bottles with the result that it simply tastes better too. Our main focus is on top Austrian wine growers including Schloss Gobelsburg, Albert Gesellmann, Franz Hirtzberger and Kollwentz. But it goes without saying that we also offer our guests superb wines from many other wine-growing areas around the globe.

Enjoy the spacious, sun-drenched
Schmelzhof terrace.

How easy is it to divide a ski day? Enjoy the wonderful powder or corn snow in the mornings and enjoy yourself on the terrace of Schmelzhof in the afternoon. From noon to 3.00 pm it’s Bistro Time! No matter if your hunger is big or small – fine salads, the SCA pasta or the delicious Schmelzhof burger will do the trick. Kaiserschmarren or berry schmarren? Go for it. And then the comfy lounge chairs are just perfect for enjoying the warming rays of the sun. Or maybe an aperol cocktail at the bar? Have a drink with friends and enjoy life
