2G – For a safe winter holiday in the Schmelzhof

In keeping with the Austrian government’s three-phase Covid plan, it is highly probable that the so-called “2G” rule (geimpft = vaccinated, genesen = recovered) will come into force this winter throughout Austria. Proof of full vaccination or recovery from Covid is already required for the purchase of a multi-day ski pass, and après-ski will only be open to those with one of these two attestations. It is likely that this will subsequently apply to restaurants too.

Here in the Schmelzhof, we don’t want to speculate on possible governmental decisions. The safety and health of our guests and staff take top priority, which is why we have already decided that the “2G” rule will apply in our hotel during the 2021/2022 winter season. For children, a negative PCR test is sufficient. For us it is of the utmost importance that our guests here in the Schmelzhof feel completely safe and at ease so they can rest, relax and enjoy their holiday to the full. It goes without saying that we, the entire Strolz family, and all our staff members are either vaccinated or have recovered from Covid.

To all our non-vaccinated guests: we appreciate your understanding for us having taken this measure that will almost certainly become a statutory requirement in the near future. It is easier for everyone if we communicate this clearly now. We will, of course, reassess the situation when the winter season comes to an end.
