It’s one year since the new lift facilities that fully connect the entire Arlberg ski area were unveiled, making it a winter sport destination that is, now, described mostly in superlatives: ‘Austria’s largest ski area’, ‘fifth-largest ski area worldwide’ and ‘world’s best ski area’(skigebiete-test.de). The figures speak for themselves – more than 300 kilometres of groomed slopes and a further 200 kilometres of deep snow runs. But there’s something that delights us even more – namely, since last year our guests have been returning from their days’ skiing beaming with even more joy and recounting how they’ve conquered the ‘Run of Fame’, that is the new long-distance circuit that connects Lech with Warth, Stuben, St. Christoph and St. Anton. And when our guests are happy, we’re happy! It’s such a pleasure to see how long-standing, regular Schmelzhof guests are discovering a whole new side to the Arlberg region.

All that’s left for us to do is to offer our guests a perfect ‘home-away-from-home’ and pamper them in every possible way, from mouth-watering culinary treats to blissfully soothing ST BARTH spa treatments, and from irresistible ‘Kaiserschmarrn’ on the sun-drenched terrace to a glass of fine red wine at the Blue Bar.

Apropos sun terrace: This is the time of year when you can soak up the first warming rays of spring sunshine. The sun loungers are ready and waiting, the tables are set. All you have to do is relax and enjoy. The oh-so-important vitamin D comes from above; everything else comes from our Schmelzhof kitchen and patisserie.
