One of the most beautiful cross-country trails and winter hiking tracks run directly past the Schmelzhof on the way to Zug and further into the gorgeous Zugertäli, which is breathtakingly bedded in a sprawling mountain range. It is the best time of the year for cross-country skiing or winter hiking as the whole of the valley is now bathed in the spring sunshine. Past the picturesque town of Zug and deep into the heart of the Zugertäli. A wonderful alternative to alpine skiing.
Our tip: The guest house Älpeli is a beautiful destination for a Jäger tea or a bowl of warming hearty soup – also great for a stopover on the way to discovering more of the unique landscape.
