TRACKS – The Exhibition on the Culture of Skiing

A fascinating exhibition opened in the Lechmusuem on 24th June and now winter guests too can visit it and take a look at countless interesting pictures and exhibits from bygone days. The valuable foundation for the exhibition was provided by years of scientific research and documentation carried out by the ‘ski.kultur.arlberg’ association and the resulting book ‘Spuren’ published by Bertolini.

The Huber-Hus exhibition invites you to go in search of clues about the skiing lifestyle. It raises questions about aspects of the wonder in white. It’s more than just about old skis, ski poles or bindings. TRACKS tells of the discovery of snow and the pleasure of the sun, about great emotions and new body images. The exhibition revives legendary races and illustrious guests; it shows how the Arlberg made it in the movies, what the war had to do with skiing and how people used to round off their day skiing with après ski.

We highly recommend that you pay a visit to the ‘SPUREN’ exhibition during your holiday in Lech. We’re certain you’ll enjoy the fascinating insights it offers. Our staff here in the Schmelzhof can give you further detailed information including opening times.
