End of the 2020/2021 season.
Such a pity, but … we’re looking forward to the future.
Dear guests, dear friends,
Right up until the last minute we hoped to enjoy at least a little bit of a winter season. We love what we do, and not being able to fulfil our role as hosts throughout the entire winter has saddened us to the core. We feel so terribly sorry for our guests who have had to forgo their well-earned holiday. On 15th February, the Austrian Federal Government announced that the lockdown for the hotel and catering industry is to be extended until Easter at least – thereby putting an end to this year’s winter season. We were brimming with ideas, numerous of which we were able to implement and many of which we will keep in future. So at least we can take this creative process as something positive out of the lockdown.
We would, nonetheless, like to take a brief look back at the past few months. We want to thank all those guests who sent us so many positive thoughts by phone, by email or via social media. Even though you couldn’t be here, you were with us in spirit. Thank you for your patience. Thank you for standing by us, for giving us strength and hope. You are the best guests in the world; you are simply wonderful. THANK YOU!
We would also like to say a huge thank you to our fantastic team of staff, in particular Gabriella and Teresa, who provided us with so much support during this exceptionally challenging winter. Gabriella took care of the reservations in her usual flawless manner, changing bookings time and time again as a result of the lockdown. With an empathetic and understanding approach, she always endeavoured to find the best possible solution for our guests. Teresa spent countless hours dealing with online communication and implementing our Covid safety concept. We would have been perfectly prepared. THANK YOU!
From now on we’re focussing on the future.
But you know how we are. We wouldn’t be the Schmelzhof if we weren’t already bursting with optimism and looking forward to the time ahead. We’re busy as bees once more and can’t wait to surprise you with a few new ideas.
One thing is for sure – we’ll meet again, and then we’ll celebrate life to the full! As you know we can. As you know we always have. As we all deserve.
Warmest greetings from Lech am Arlberg!
Gitti and Robert Strolz
