We’re now a “Pretty Hôtel”

The Pretty Hôtels organisation brings together an impressive collection of hand-selected and very personally managed hotels. For more than 20 years, founder Robert Kittel and his ambassadors have been seeking out the most beautiful retreats worldwide. And they often find just what they’re looking for thanks to helpful tips.

We were lucky that a close friend of ours, Jenny Eham from the Hotel Haltmair am See (her own hotel likewise a member of the Pretty Hôtels family) recommended our Boutique Hotel Schmelzhof to Robert Kittel and coaxed the avid ski enthusiast to make a trip to Lech am Arlberg. After settling in as a guest, he inquisitively observed and absorbed the atmosphere of the hotel. A beautiful hotel is the key to a perfect trip, is Pretty Hôtels’ principle. Out of 400 requests a year, about 385 are rejected; only those that truly fit in are admitted into the “Pretty family”. Following a personal tour of the hotel, a joint ski tour with lots of questions about the Schmelzhof philosophy and the Arlberg Ski Club and, last but not least, a plate of SCA pasta in the Blue Bar, we were presented with the official seal. The Schmelzhof is a Member of Pretty Hôtels.

We are honoured to have received this favourable reception. Guests who find us through Pretty Hôtels have particularly high expectations. Our goal? To exceed them.

If you’re looking for a particularly charming hotel, no matter where, take a look at the website www.pretty-hotels.com. We too found what just we were looking for there and, during our summer break, we stayed in some truly lovely hotels – with hosts just as welcoming and personal as we believe we are.
