The manufacturer of LIGNE ST BARTH lies on one of the most beautiful islands in the Caribbean: St Barthélemy. This is where the cosmetic products and perfumes are exclusively produced. The family business was established in 1983 but the history of the founding family goes back much further to the year 1648, closely tied to the history of the Caribbean island itself.
The LIGNE ST BARTH combines the traditional knowledge of the Caribbean Arawak Indians with the latest scientific findings and cutting-edge technology using the highest quality standards. Up until a few years ago these unique elixirs from the Caribbean were only known to insiders and are only offered in selected hotels and perfumeries worldwide.
The conception of LIGNE ST BARTH
In the hope of finding a better life, French families immigrated as early as 1648 to the Caribbean islands. They got used to the island life quite quickly and learnt everything about the healing effects of the tropical plants from the indigenous islanders. The great grandmother of Ligne St Barth founder Hervé Brin, Honorine Brin, was well known for her knowledge of the indigenous naturopathy healing powers. In 1983 Birgit and Hervé Brin started researching formulas and after 5 years of intensive research they found a way to combine the old recipes, passed down over generations with modern technology. The LIGNE ST BARTH was born.
